I tried taking some pictures of the rest of the clan, but I've found I'm not very good at manual focus yet. So, these are straight auto focus. Obviously, more practice is in order.
I was going to ask the same thing as Lauren. Did you mean shooting in manual mode (choosing your own shutter speed and f-stop), or actually trying to foucs manually by turning the focus ring and not letting the camera focus for you? At any rate...cute cats! tfs
They are so cute! I NEVER manually focus unless I am shooting macros and can't get the focus in autofocus. It took me awhile to realize that there was a difference between shooting in manual mode and manual focus- you can shoot manually by using M on the dial but definitely leave the lens on autofocus... the camera is much better at grabbing focus than we are! ;)
Love kitty photos! I like how in the second one he's giving you the "photographers pet" stare. :)

ReplyDeleteYou have some very cute cats to practice on. Your pictures are great!
ReplyDeleteCute kitties! May I ask why you're considering manually focusing shots like this?
ReplyDeleteVery cute!
